Alan Ritchson acted in self defense, will not face criminal charges after brutal fight with neighbor: police

Alan Ritchson won’t face any criminal charges after his wild brawl with his neighbor that was caught on camera.

Authorities ruled that the actor, 43, acted in self defense and the investigation regarding the incident with his neighbor Ronnie Taylor that occurred in Brentwood, Tenn., is closed.

“After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued. Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense,” Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin told the Hollywood Reporter.

Pepin also said that the “Reacher” star declined to press charges against Taylor.

“Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges,” he stated. “With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken.”

A rep for Ritchson didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Ritchson and Taylor’s physical altercation occurred Sunday as two young boys — whom appear to be two of the actor’s three sons with his wife, Catherine — watched from their motorbikes.

Ritchson hit Taylor — who was kneeling on the ground — multiple times, in shocking video obtained by TMZ.

Taylor admitted to TMZ that he pushed Ritchson twice before the “Reacher” star “kicked the crap” out of him. His injuries stemming from the incident are shown here. TMZ

Taylor told TMZ the altercation stemmed from a Saturday incident, alleging that the actor drove his motorcycle too fast down their street repeatedly.

“Then, on Sunday, when I was cleaning my bike outside my house, he rode past once, twice, and on the second time, I walked out in front of him, and I said, ‘You got to stop. Someone’s going to get hurt,’” Taylor recalled.

Taylor said it escalated quickly from there, and admitted to pushing the actor twice.

“I think the second time he got off his bike, and he kicked the crap out of me,” he said. “He hit me in the back of my head [and] I went to the ground and covered myself.”

On Tuesday, a three-minute long video was uploaded to TikTok, which seemingly captured the incident through bodycam footage strapped to Ritchson’s chest — however, Page Six couldn’t confirm the validity of the clip.

In the video, Taylor jumped into the middle of the road to block Ritchson and the two kids from driving their motorcycles, which caused the actor to fall off his vehicle.

The two then got into a heated argument, after which Ritchson got back on his motorcycle and revved the engine multiple times, asking Taylor to “f–king move” out of his way.

But Taylor refused to do so and pushed the bike and Ritchson twice, leading Ritchson to shove Taylor to the ground, before he punched and kicked him.

Ritchson declined to discuss the incident in an interview with the Daily Mail on Monday, but later posted a quote attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte on Instagram reading, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
