Alan Ritchson Comments on “Crazy Week” as He Wraps ‘Reacher’

Alan Ritchson took to Instagram on Wednesday morning amid a headline-heavy week to break a bit more news: He’s done with postproduction on Reacher’s season four.

“Happy to be back in the booth after such a crazy week,” the actor shared in a reel posted for his 5.2 million followers, calling it the best season yet. “That’s a wrap for me on post-production — Reacher season four. This is without a doubt the most gripping season yet. I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders…as it were.”

A lot of cylinders were firing this week. Ritchson found himself at the center of a news cycle following an explosive altercation with his neighbor over the weekend in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood, Tennessee. Clips of the incident went viral, and local police concluded on Tuesday that the Reacher star acted in self-defense in the tussle with a man named Ronnie Taylor. As such, police closed the investigation and declined to pursue any charges in the matter, which stemmed from a fight that started as Ritchson was riding his motorcyle through the neighborhood. Taylor confronted him in the street to complain about the noise and disturbance, and he later admitted that he instigated physical contact by shoving Ritchson twice, causing the actor to fall, injure himself and act in self-defense by hitting back.

Ritchson, a known motorcycle enthusiast who posed on a Ducati for a The Hollywood Reporter cover story in 2024, had only just returned to the United States after filming back-to-back movies in Australia and New Zealand. He starred in Netflix’s War Machine, which just debuted on the streamer, for filmmaker Patrick Hughes. They reunited Down Under for a project inspired by the life of Navy SEAL Mike Thornton, which was recently filming.

As for Reacher, no premiere date for season four has been announced, though Ritchson teased that it’s coming “very soon.” A 2026 launch is expected for the new batch of episodes of the global smash series from Amazon Prime Video. The latest installment is based on the 2009 Lee Child novel Gone Tomorrow, which follows the title character as he attempts to unravel the mystery of a woman who killed herself in front of him on the New York City subway. Ritchson has said in interviews that the new season is a “labyrinth of fights,” and contains upwards of 30 tussles.

Back to today’s Instagram post: One of his followers even made light of the neighbor news by commenting under his post, “If we were neighbors I’d bake you cookies and water your plants, just sayin!”
