‘Bob’s Burgers’ Actor Eugene Mirman “On the Mend” After Car Crash

After suffering serious injuries from a Tuesday car crash in New Hampshire, Bob’s Burgers star Eugene Mirman is speaking out to give up an update on his recovery.

In an Instagram post, the voice actor shared a photo of himself holding a sign that reads, “Life is an adventure.”

“Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all the well wishes, love and kind messages from friends and strangers. I am extraordinarily thankful to the heroic people that pulled me from the car and to the warm, kind and talented staff at the hospital that cared for me and got me on the mend! I am thankful beyond words to be here and doing relatively alright, all things considered,” Mirman wrote.

Adding, “I don’t have my phone, so haven’t been online much. I do not recommend my method of decreasing screen-time. If you’re a friend who sent a kind, loving message, you should know that it was hard to not respond with, ‘I’d love to be on your podcast.’ I love you all and please take care of yourselves, Eugene.”

On Tuesday, a 2026 Lucid Gravity crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza, with Mirman later being identified as the vehicle’s driver, per a press release from New Hampshire police. The accident was described as a single-vehicle crash.

Mirman was pulled from the vehicle while it was burning through a window. After being recovered, Mirman was taken to a nearby hospital with “serious injuries.”

“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” Colonel Mark B. Hall said in a statement of those who aided Mirman following the crash. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

Governor Ayotte also spoke out after the crash writing on X, “I want to thank the Trooper on my security detail and the bystanders who stepped up to help at the scene of the crash for their brave lifesaving efforts today. Joe and I are praying for the full recovery of the driver who was injured today.”

No charges have been filed at this time and the crash is under investigation.

Mirman stars in Bob’s Burgers as Gene Belcher. He has appeared in all 16 installments of the animated Fox series.
