EXCLUSIVE: Buchwald has promoted Sophia Rebaza and Chris Brio to talent agents, “underscoring the agency’s ongoing commitment to cultivating the next generation of leaders shaping the film and television representation industry, the agency touted in a press release.
Rebaza launched her entertainment career at Buchwald in 2022, joining as part of the agency’s Agent Training Program. She then assisted Senior Vice President of Talent Angelo Padilla before being promoted to Talent Coordinator at the end of 2024. Of Peruvian descent, Rebaza is committed to elevating diverse voices across film and television. At Buchwald, she works on the teams for clients including Rachel Blanchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty), David Castañeda (Trap House, Ballerina), Poppy Liu (His & Hers, Hacks), Tim Jo (Reasonable Doubt, Beef), among others. She holds a degree in Film and Television from the University of Arizona.
Brio also joined Buchwald through its Agent Training Program in 2023, supporting the then agency co-head Ryan Martin, and was promoted to Talent Coordinator at the end of 2024. At Buchwald, Brio is a part of the teams representing talent across the theatrical and TV space, including Djimon Hounsou (A Quiet Place: Day One, Gran Truism), Steven Ogg (It’s Florida, Man, The Walking Dead), Trew Mullen (The Moment, Blink Twice), and Ryan McParland (Say Nothing, Old Guy), among others. A California State University, Long Beach graduate with a degree in Business, Brio began his career in tech sales before pursuing his passion for the arts and client representation in the entertainment industry.

These promotions come on the heels of Buchwald naming Julia Buchwald as Chief Executive Officer and President, and Ryan Martin as Co-President of the agency. Other recent leadership additions include Max Nagler as Vice President of Branding & Digital, Noah Ballard as Vice President of Media Rights & Publishing, Flora Huang as Chief Financial Officer, and Julian Cain, elevated to President, Business Operations, supporting the agency’s continued growth and operational scale.
