Hollywood feminists are selective about their cause du jour.
The MeToo movement exploded in the late 2010s. A-list actresses spoke out at various Women’s Marches to protest President Donald Trump and future Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The same feminists looked the other way as presidential contender Joe Biden faced a serious, credible accusation that he sexually attacked a former staffer. Some even turned the “believe all women” mantra aside to defend Biden.
And when Gina Carano got fired by Disney for, at worst, a clumsy plea for tolerance, the same feminists couldn’t spare a syllable in her defense.
Inconsistency matters, and it’s why few take celebrity feminists seriously. Nor should they.
And it’s happening again.
The Legacy Media has declared war against “Melania,” the new documentary chronicling Melania Trump’s return to the White House in 2025. Film critics played the Nazi card against both her and the film after weeks of mocking the project for lousy pre-release ticket sales.
Throw that one on the towering pile of Fake News.

USA Today argued it’s patriotic to attack the film, sight unseen. (Said scribe has his X posts protected, of course).
The Guardian review mocked Melania Trump’s face and voice, something that screams unprofessionalism. A critic reviews art, not the artist’s physical appearance. The last time a critic did that, the outlet in question issued a swift apology.
And if you’re going to torch a First Lady’s appearance, it might be unwise to savage a former model. You just look silly.

So where are A-list starlets rushing to Mrs. Trump’s defense?
We may disagree on politics, but all First Ladies deserve our respect. Treating Mrs. Trump in this fashion is pure misogyny.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for that sound bite. And it’s not the first time feminists went silent as Mrs. Trump faced a gross attack.
Sacha Baron Cohen sexualized FLOTUS in the first Trump administration, along with far-Left propagandist Jimmy Kimmel. Crickets ensued.
For context, TBS offered a groveling apology after it mocked Former First Lady Hillary Clinton’s laugh.
Expect no apologies for this current round of FLOTUS attacks. The cruelty is the point.
