Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers Opens London Office, Makes U.K. Hires

Hans Zimmer‘s Bleeding Fingers Music has officially opened a London office, confirming key hires as well as a slate of major film and TV projects.

The Academy-Award winning composer, together with co-founders Steven Kofsky and Russell Emmanuel have on Wednesday released details about the expansion of their scoring collective.

Operating as a composer collective, the company’s model “enables large-scale orchestral scoring alongside cross-genre experimentation — serving global franchises, prestige film, television, documentaries and multimedia experiences,” according to Bleeding Fingers Music.

The London hub is said to strengthen the company’s deep creative ties to the U.K. and build on a decade of collaboration with British broadcasters, filmmakers and cultural institutions.

“From the very beginning, Bleeding Fingers has been about creating a collective; a place where composers are mentored, challenged and inspired to push the craft forward,” said Zimmer, composer on Gladiator, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Dune, and Pirates of the Caribbean. “The U.K. has an incredible musical heritage and some of the most exciting storytellers in the world. Being closer to that energy allows us to keep reimagining what screen music can be.”

Bleeding Fingers confirmed the appointment of Jesse McNamara as managing director of the London office. In his new role, McNamara will oversee the company’s London operations, lead U.K.-based creative development and production, and expand partnerships across British film, television and multimedia.

Working closely with CEO Russell Emanuel and the global leadership team, McNamara will spearhead the growth of the U.K. composer roster while deepening relationships with broadcasters, studios and independent producers throughout the region, positioning the London hub as a central pillar in Bleeding Fingers’ international strategy. Dario Burns will also be joining the London team as Bleeding Fingers’ latest creative director.

Bleeding Fingers plans to build their London studios within the storied Maida Vale Studios, which was previously owned by the BBC and acquired by Zimmer and Kofsky, alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner (co-chairs of Working Title Pictures) in 2023. The building has been preserved as a creative space, rather than converted into residential development, a decision that “reflects Bleeding Fingers’ commitment to sustaining and contributing to the U.K.’s cultural landscape for generations to come.”
