Hollywood News Sites Ignore Trump-Kennedy Center Vandalism

The newly christened Trump-Kennedy Center inspires plenty of histrionic headlines.

Sites like The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline and TheWrap.com routinely cover artists boycotting the venue, allegations of low-ticket sales and other center-related storylines.

It’s not merely a D.C.-based venue to them. It’s part of the national fabric, and these outlets treat it as such.

And they’re not necessarily wrong. The annual Kennedy Center Honors and the Mark Twain Prize for Humor boast national appeal.

Except the aforementioned sites all stood down this week after news of a vandalism attack against the center hit the web.

Fox News broke the story of a “toxic chemical” spilled on the venue’s ice rink, built specifically for Le Patin Libre’s Murmuration. The vandals left the rink “severely damaged.”

And, given the violent nature of the modern Left and the center’s rebranding under President Trump, it’s hard not to view the attack as ideologically motivated.

Now, that’s a story.

Except the main entertainment news sites apparently disagree. They haven’t reported on the matter as of today, even though the attack occurred on Friday.

Hmmmm.

Biased Legacy Media outlets not only cover stories in a partisan fashion, they ignore news that doesn’t support their narratives. This news cycle could be detrimental to the Left, meaning a Trump critic is the likely, but not confirmed, suspect.

That’s enough to bury the story so the sites’ readers never learn about it.

Those same sites will report on Oscar winner Robert De Niro shredding President Trump publicly for the 50th tiime, but they’ll stand down when the Trump-Kennedy Center suffers a nasty attack.

That’s Media Bias 101, and this may be yet another glowing example.
