Kris Heller Elevated to Partner at Independent Artist Group

Kris Heller, the talent agent who counts Sinnners Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo as one of this clients, has been elevated to partner at Independent Artist Group.

“It is with great pride that we welcome Kris into our partnership at the agency,” said agency CEO Jim Osborne in announcing the promotion. “He has been an invaluable asset to the agency and to me personally for the past 10 years. He is universally loved and respected and does an incredible job representing some of the most accomplished artists in our industry.”

The elevation is a moment of pride and satisfaction for both Heller and Osborne as the two have been professionally intertwined as both the agency and their careers streaked upwards.

Heller joined the agency in 2016 and was promoted to Osborne’s desk as an assistant, learning the ins and outs from the experienced and multi-faceted hustler. When Heller was promoted to agent in 2018, the two began working hand-in-hand across multiple clients, including Gary Oldman, Cole Hauser, Lindsay Lohan, Sharon Stone, and John Wick star Donnie Yen.

Heller is a key member of the teams that represent Sylvester Stallone, Taraji P Henson, Lily Gladstone, Joseph Sikora, Cary Elwes, Mira Sorvino, Kate Bosworth and Justin Long, among others. And his move to partner follows his promotion to senior vp of the talent department in 2024. Heller was also named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen list in 2020.

Heller proved his savviness and agenting mettle working closely with Sinners studio Warner Bros. Lindo initially did not receive notices from certain awards organizations early on in the process, however, Heller, strategizing with Warners, helped to deftly guide Lindo through a unique awards season. It ultimately resulted in the actor receiving his first ever Oscar nomination.

“Kris represents the present and future of IAG and is destined to be one of the top leaders of this agency,” Osborne added.
