“Love Overboard” contestant Bella Palk breaks down in tears after learning the harsh rules of the dating competition, and Page Six has an exclusive sneak peek of that moment.
In Hulu’s forthcoming reality show, Palk and 15 other hot singles set sail on a gorgeous yacht with the hope of finding love.
While four couples get to live a life of luxury on the topside of the deck, host Gabby Windey reveals that the remaining contestants must work for them while living as crew on the downside.
After receiving the news, Palk, 22, starts to panic.
“I swear to God, if it’s real cleaning,” she tearfully tells the other girls before beginning to weep. “I can’t even clean my room!”
Palk goes on to screech that she’s “like a little Barbie with a Dreamhouse,” noting that Barbie does not clean her own Dreamhouse.
“You get somebody else to f–king do it!” she shouts while dabbing her eyes with tissues as the girls try — and fail — to calm her down.
After letting out an agonizing scream, Palk blubbers, “Y’all have no f–king idea. This worked out for me so bad.”
In a later confessional, she tells the camera, “I was really excited to come on this show thinking this was just gonna be, like, a yacht trip.”
“I hate cleaning up after people,” she adds, growing more agitated. “Why would I wanna pick up after people that I think I’m sexier than?”
Palk reiterates that she “got screwed over” while insisting she’s “not gonna be too dramatic about it.”
Taken aback by the emotional display, contestant Leela Ambrose-Fleck says in her own confessional, “I can’t handle people when they cry. I don’t wanna be like, ‘There, there.’ I’m not a parent! I’m 21 years old. I’m younger than her.”
Ambrose-Fleck adds, “She did say she wants her mommy. Can we get her her mommy, maybe?”
As Windey explains to the contestants, downsiders can get to the topside of the deck by breaking up an existing couple.
“Love Overboard” — which is produced by Alex Cooper’s Unwell Productions, Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative — debuts March 26 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
A special preview of the premiere episode will air Sunday, March 22, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
