Y’Lan Noel plays an expert criminal and Matthew Law is a top notch police detective in the first look images for Courtney A. Kemp’s crime drama Nemesis for Netlix that dropped on Wednesday. The drama launches globally on the streaming platform on May 14, 2026.
Abbot Elementary actor Law plays Isaih Stiles and Noel is Coltrane Wilder in the heist series from Power creator Kemp. “What starts as a series that aims to subvert the heist genre at every turn, amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes, family dynamics and explosive action, actually gives birth to an exploration of what drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us,” a synopsis from the producers of the series reads.

Courtney’s shows have proven to dominate [the] culture and conversation, and it’s exciting to have this be the first project from our creative partnership,” Nne Ebong, vp of studio scripted series at Netflix, said in earlier Tudum blog story for the streaming platform.
