Patrick Harris, a seasoned tech exec who held senior posts at Snap and Facebook/Meta, is joining Roku as SVP of Global Media Revenue.
He will be based in New York and start his new role on March 9, reporting to Roku Media President Charlie Collier. An opening in Roku’s sales organization was created last fall when Jay Askinasi decamped for Paramount.
Harris, brings 25 years of experience to Roku. He is coming aboard as the company’s platform business, whose revenue mainly comes from advertising, is on the upswing. Last week, Roku reported better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter and issued a rosy financial outlook for 2026.
In his new position, Harris will oversee ad revenue growth and performance efforts, working with senior execs across advertising, product, engineering, marketing, and measurement.
Harris was President, Americas at Snap, leading the sales group at the social media firm. He also oversaw teams focused on agency partnerships, ad‑tech integrations, media relationships, creators, and other functions. Prior to Snap, Harris spent 12 years at Meta (Facebook), most recently serving as VP of Global Channels, and before that spent five years at Microsoft, where he helped lead search ad revenue for the Bing search engine.
“Patrick has built and scaled high-performing teams, earned the trust of the world’s most sophisticated marketers, and helped grow some of the most influential ad-supported digital platforms in the industry,” Collier said in a statement. “His track record driving measurable brand performance and lower-funnel marketer outcomes, combined with sharp strategic instincts and a deeply collaborative leadership style, will strengthen our teams, deepen our partnerships with clients, and accelerate Roku’s CTV strategy.”
Harris said he was drawn to the role “because Roku has the assets, momentum, and the opportunity to drive impact at a scale few companies can match at such a transformative moment for the industry.”
