Taylor Frankie Paul’s neighbor called 911 because she heard “screaming” ahead of the reality star’s 2023 domestic violence incident.
“First, there’s like domestic violence; somebody is screaming, ‘Get off me.’ There is a woman screaming,” Paul’s neighbor told emergency operators in a call obtained by Us Weekly from the Herriman City Police Department. “The garage door keeps opening and shutting. It sounds like she’s trying to get out.”
According to the woman, it sounded “like somebody [was] leaving” the property.
“Somebody’s getting in the truck,” she continued. “So, it looks like the lady who was screaming might be leaving right now. … [She] actually didn’t leave. Now, she’s going back in the house.”
Paul’s neighbor added that she did not hear any weapons or signs of drinking.
“I know they have kids, [but] I don’t know if the kids are there right now, because I think she shares time with her ex-husband,” she elaborated during the call. “I would love to know if they’re OK. I mean, it looks like she’s OK right now. I don’t know if somebody else in there was screaming.”
The individual told operators that she didn’t know what was happening and didn’t “want them to know” she was “the one that’s calling the police.”

Paul was arrested later that night following a physical altercation with her now-ex Dakota Mortensen.
Despite the incident occurring three years ago, it made headlines earlier this month when a video of the shocking moment was leaked.
In the disturbing footage, Paul and Mortensen were seen fighting inside her Utah home, when her then 5-year-old daughter Indy appeared to get struck by a metal barstool the TV personality had thrown at the TikToker during the incident.
The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” cast member later pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault, which will be reduced to a misdemeanor once she finishes her three-year probation.
Additional charges, including two felony counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child and one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief, were ultimately dismissed.
Paul — who also shares son Ocean, 5, with her ex-husband, Tate — and Mortensen ended up reconciling that same year before welcoming son Ever, 2, The two have since called it quits.
After the footage was leaked, the former “Bachelorette” star’s rep said in a statement that the video “conveniently omits context” and Mortensen’s “never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child.”
Mortensen, meanwhile, denied her allegations, saying, “I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”
The social media personality has since filed for a restraining order against Paul, alleging that she choked him last month in the presence of their son. He was then granted temporary custody of Ever.
ABC, meanwhile, canceled Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” in the wake of the leaked video.
Police are currently investigating two other instances of alleged domestic violence between Paul and Mortensen — one that occurred in 2024 and another one that took place last month, which has also halted “SLOMW” from filming.
