Uniqlo collaborated with Clare Waight Keller on a $40 bag

From JW Anderson to Jil Sander, Uniqlo has had plenty of memorable designer partnerships over the years.

But now, the Japanese retailer has former Givenchy and Chloé artistic director Clare Waight Keller directly on staff — and designing expensive-looking basics like the new Uniqlo Drawstring Bag.

A highlight of the spring/summer 2026 line, the chic carryall comes in four wear-with-anything colors: black, cream, beige and navy.

The water-repellent design is both fashionable and functional, featuring several inner and outer pockets — and an adjustable shoulder strap, so you can carry it as a tote or slip it over your shoulder with ease.

The versatile purse rings in at just under $40, but looks far more expensive.

After all, Keller knows a thing or two about luxury. She’s dressed many of the world’s biggest stars — including, perhaps most notably, Meghan Markle on her wedding day in 2018.

While the British creative first dropped a limited collab with Uniqlo back in 2023, she’s since become the label’s global creative director, and regularly refreshes her Uniqlo : C collection with new styles.

Among her latest affordable drops? Trendy wide-leg low-rise jeans and a matching denim shirt jacket that would look right at home in celeb-off-duty photos.

To take your loungewear looks up a notch, Keller even designed bestselling sweatpants with a crisp tailored front seam, which makes them look more like slacks than sweats.

“I’ve been a Uniqlo customer for the last decade, even before I worked for them,” the designer told Harper’s Bazaar, saying she always felt the brand offered “incredible quality for the value.”

“You never go there feeling like you’re getting ripped off,” she added.
