Less than a year after The Handmaid’s Tale series finale, another Margaret Atwood TV adaptation is returning to streaming. Starring One Battle After Another‘s Chase Infiniti and based on Atwood’s 2019 novel of the same name, The Testaments serves as a Handmaid’s Tale sequel, set four or so years after the events of the show’s sixth and final season. The Testaments‘ first three episodes drop on April 8 exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, the latter being the most cost-effective streaming option (more on that below).
On their own, both a Hulu and Disney+ subscription start at $11.99 per month (or $23.98 per month total), whereas the Hulu, Disney+ bundle starts at $12.99 per month. This means that for $1 more, customers can get both services instead of one, a savings of 46 percent.
For another way to bundle and save, the DirecTV MyEntertainment Genre Pack includes Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max and 60+ top entertainment channels and is currently offering a five-day free trial, meaning new subscribers can watch the new show (and everything else the streamer has to offer) at no cost. Following the trial period, the package costs just $34.99 per month.
