Is Joe Rogan the next Tucker Carlson?
The former Fox News superstar is obsessed with all things Israel. He brings up the Jewish nation early and often on his Tucker Carlson Network, and it’s rarely in a positive light.
That’s being kind.

Carlson is continually called out for his obsession, a dramatic departure from his cable television tenure.
Rogan, the Spotify superstar considered the biggest podcaster in pop culture, is sounding a bit like Carlson of late. The most recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” finds him cracking wise with Mark Normand, Ari Shaffir and Shane Gillis AKA the show’s “Protect Our Parks” rotating feature.
The conversation explored sexual predators, allowing Rogan to share an unfounded conspiracy about Israel’s role in allegedly protecting abusers.
“Israel is the number one place where sex offenders go,” Rogan said, without evidence. Israel does have a problem in this area, but it’s hardly a top destination.
The Law of Return was meant to give Jews a right to live in the Jewish state and also give Jews or those with Jewish ancestors the ability to find sanctuary here. It is not supposed to be a welcome mat for murderers, rapists, pedophiles and criminals. Yet Israel too often has not done due diligence when processing Law of Return rights. There does not appear to be a fast track to deport people who have exploited the system. Instead, wanted criminals can arrive with ease and vanish into local communities.

It’s an issue, no doubt, due to a specific policy, but there’s no proof that Israel is the go-to destination for sexual offenders. Rogan is making this up, and he doesn’t add the necessary context for his listeners.
“Kinda proves Kanye’s point a little bit,” Rogan said with a smile.
Kanye West’s antisemitism is well known and particularly gross. In recent weeks, the musicians has attempted to walk back his vile comments against Jews, citing his mental health struggles as a reason for his outbursts.
What Rogan said next is worse, though.
“It’s amazing how many high-profile Jewish people, they have an opinion about everything, but when it gets to this … ,” Rogan stops and makes a whistling sound to connote silence. “They just avoid that or come up with some random way to justify annihililating an entire city.”
What is he talking about? Is that the debunked “genocide” charge regarding Israel and Hamas? Do high-profile Jewish people actually do this? Does he have a single example?
He’s not speaking clearly, but it’s obvious he’s attempting to smear Jewish people as unwilling or unable to criticize Jewish sex offenders.
Or something.
The conversation is ugly, and it’s not the first time Rogan has trotted out antisemitic tropes.
In 2023, he shared these thoughts after Rep. Ilhan Omar trotted out a stereotypical connection between Jewish people and money.
“That’s not an antisemitic statement, I don’t think that is. Benjamins are money. The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza, it’s f***ing stupid. It’s f***ing stupid.”
Last year, Rogan invited conspiracy monger Ian Carroll on his show. The host said nothing as Carroll claimed Israel fueld the 9/11 attacks. Days later, Rogan’s guest, Darryl Cooper, twisted Adolf Hitler’s legacy of barbarism into a pretzel while Rogan called Cooper’s Jewish critics “paranoid.”
Last month, Rogan suggested the U.S. went to war with Iran because of Israel.
The podcast lane is getting crowded with antisemitic thoughts, including those by Carlson and Candace Owens.
Owens once said a “small ring of specific people who are using the fact that they are Jewish to shield themselves from any criticism” and defennded West’s “death con 3 on Jewish people comment” as not antisemitic, among other incendiary comments.
Or consider comedian Theo Von, who repeatedly attacks Israel and has compared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “the new Hitler.”
He also assured fans that he wasn’t actually suicidal after he appeared emotionally wobby, adding, “I would never take my own life. You hear that Israel? I would never take my own life.”
Last month, podcaster and comedian Russell Brand refused to condemn the Oct. 7 attacks.
