Taylor Swift’s wedding dress will be inspired by classic Hollywood icon: report

Taylor Swift’s wedding dress will reportedly be inspired by Elizabeth Taylor.

All eyes are sure to be on Swift at her upcoming nuptials to Travis Kelce, and the singer’s gown is inspired by Taylor’s first wedding dress when the Hollywood icon tied the knot with Conrad Hilton — Paris Hilton’s great uncle — in 1950, the Daily Mail reported.

Swift has made it no secret that she’s a fan of the “Cleopatra” actress. She wrote a song titled “Elizabeth Taylor” for her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and released the music video last month.

“Taylor spent so much time looking at old photos of Elizabeth Taylor when she was making her music video for that song that she became enamored with the movie queen’s style,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“So when she started thinking about her wedding dress, she looked up Elizabeth’s old gowns online,” the source continued.

According to the source, Swift admired Taylor’s 1950 wedding dress because it was “old fashioned and came in at the waistline,” and she’s also a fan of the lace detailing.

Taylor was famously married seven times before she died in March 2011 at the age of 79.

Hilton was her first husband, whom she married when she was 18 years old, and they split after only eight months of marriage.

She went on to marry British actor Michael Wilding (1952 to 1957), producer Mike Todd (1957 to 1958), singer Eddie Fisher (1959 to 1964), actor Richard Burton (1975 to 1976), politician John Warner (1976 to 1982) and construction worker Larry Fortensky (1991 to 1996).

Swift’s track dedicated to Taylor references the actress’ highly publicized romances.

The lyrics include, “All my white diamonds and lovers are forever / In the papers, on the screen, and in their minds.”

“I’d cry my eyes violet, Elizabeth Taylor / Tell me for real, do you think it’s forever?” she also sings.

Page Six exclusively reported last week that Swift and Kelce’s save-the-dates have gone out to their guests, revealing that the couple’s wedding will take place July 3 in New York.

Preparations are already well underway.

Swift’s bridal party, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, are reportedly putting together a video of the pop superstar to play at her and Kelce’s wedding that covers their relationship from the beginning.

“Much of the footage shows Taylor smiling and laughing, as she absolutely loves how funny Travis is,” an insider told the Sun.

Gomez is also reportedly planning a karaoke session for the couple’s star-studded guests to “show their love” and “help celebrate Taylor’s superstardom.”
