Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother, Kate Lohan, was arrested for allegedly attacking the actress’s father, Michael Lohan, on Tuesday, Page Six can confirm.
Court documents viewed by Page Six show Kate was booked for assaulting a family/household member with a previous conviction, and was taken to a Harris County, Texas, jail on a $35,000 bond.
Sources claim Kate, 44, was at the house when the incident took place, reports TMZ, who was the first to report this news.
She and Michael, 65, were meant to exchange their children, but things quickly escalated as Kate became irritable over being woken up.
The insiders added that Kate violently erupted in a rage, throwing punches and giving Michael a bloody nose in the fight.
At one point, Kate was said to have gone into the kitchen and hurled a knife at her ex. Though, he was unharmed by the knife as it ricocheted off of his chest.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after and escorted Kate away in handcuffs.
Court records indicate that Kate was intoxicated at the time of her arrest, and as a condition of her release, she will have to undergo mandatory alcohol testing.
She was also barred from having any contact with Michael, with whom she shares two children; sons Landon and Logan Lohan.
A rep for Michael did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In 2024, Kate was previously convicted of assaulting a family member.
Kate and Michael have endured a rocky relationship over recent years. Last February, Michael was arrested for assault after allegedly getting physical with Kate.
Michael was charged with “continuous violence against the family” after police caught up with him while he was spotted outside one of Kate’s doctor’s appointment.
Upon the authorities’ arrival, Kate then filed a report with responding officers, claiming that her estranged husband had flipped her out of a chair a few days before.
